Emma Collins is a documentary photographer based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK. Emma has been working as a family photographer since 2012 and her work captures life’s everyday moments in a way that is simultaneously intimate and voyeuristic.
Over the last 10 years Emma has become one of the leading family photographers in the UK, working with clients from around the world. She has acquired several top awards at the Documentary Family Awards, including consecutively winning the environmental portrait prize in 2019 and 2020, the pandemic category in 2020 and the overall winner of the Documentary Family Awards 2020. She was selected for the Female Voice Exhibition 2019, has been named top UK storyteller photographer 2020 by TIRF and has recently been shortlisted for the British Photography Awards 2021.
Emma is a co-founder of Real Life Photo Academy, an organisation that promotes and sets the standard for documentary family photography, bringing expertise and training for photographers interested in developing their skills and understanding of this genre in the UK and beyond.
